I have been writing in some shape or form since the time I was in middle school. Over the course of my career, I've done it all, from screenwriting to poetry to movie reviews.

About ten years ago, I decided to get serious about writing. Since then, I've published over twenty novels... and counting. I have knowledge and experience with self-publishing and traditional publishing, knowledge which I would love to share.

I am a Native American author who specializes in horror and genre fiction. I consume all things horror, and I enjoy fantasy and science fiction as well. I am willing to work with any writers, regardless of content.

Who am I?

My Qualifications

Master of Education Degree

I've been an English teacher for 20 years and counting. I know how to communicate and trouble-shoot on my feet to help your career.

Bachelor of Arts with a Major in English

I understand the finer points of writing in regards to content, structure, and grammar. If there's something you can work on, I'll find it.

Self-Publishing

I've done it all, from marketing to building a mailing list and my own website. I can help you as well.

Traditional Publishing

I've experienced the agony of rejection and the glory of acceptance. If traditional publishing is the route you want to go, I am happy to help you along the way.

Who am I looking to work with?

I'm looking to work with people who fit the following:

-You're a self-starter.

-You're motivated.

-You have a vision for your future.

If you fit all three of these criteria, send me a message and we can get the ball rolling. There's no time like the present.

I can't thank Jacy enough for what he's done for me. He's been supportive and personable, and even when, as a new writer you might think your dreams and plans might sound silly or unachievable, Jacy takes them seriously, and moves you in the direction of making them a reality.

Aquino Loayza (Author of Deep)

Jacy worked with me on my short story Neighborly. Together we were able to take a good story and make it great. He found a way to make even the most mundane sentences magical. He immediately understood the tone and themes I was going for and curated his suggestions with that in mind to perfection. I liked this story before we worked together, now I love it and thats because of Jacy’s steady, guiding hand.

After working with Jacy Morris, I found I was better organized and more able to clearly visualize my writing goals. Having a coach who knows the ins and outs of the industry helped me find a path forward with my career and feel less aimless. It was so valuable to have someone in my corner helping with specific obstacles and objectives. Even now I can move forward with confidence knowing I can reach out if I get stuck or overwhelmed. Regardless of what stage you’re at with your writing, whether you’re starting out or post-publication, Morris can help you take your work to the next level.

Full Testimonial from Carlos Rivera (Author of White Harbor)

It's very easy when you start writing to think "I have the best and brightest idea in the universe and I'm going to be a famous writer!", and I won't tell you it's impossible, but if we're being objective, the majority of us are, at first, completely lost, throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. You might have the best premise and a wonderful book with tons of potential (shameless, deluded plug: "Sort of like I do") but it can be overwhelming to figure out how to focus your efforts and how to get the best out of your hard work.

This is where meeting Jacy Morris was an absolute blessing. He's an experienced writer who's learned by doing, and has gotten all the expertise necessary to guide people to their full potential.

Working with him, I've learned many things about which social media platforms give you the most visibility and how to focus your efforts.

He's provided me with feedback about my book and how to make the most relevant aspects of it stand out. In fact, I fully credit him with helping me realize one of my books greatest areas of improvement, and to see that I already had the solution for it; I just needed guidance with the way I had structured the story and go in and fix it.

When I told him about my plans to work on a script based on my books, though my experience was very limited with the medium, he was there with links, tools, examples, tips, advice, and pointing me in the right direction.

Now, that's key in what he does. He POINTS YOU in the right direction, giving you advice of how to do things, but between sections, he will expect you to DO THE WORK, and that's important, because he gives you goals. He gives you "homework", and this keeps you pushing forward; it invigorates you to accomplish your goals.

At this point, I've completed the second edition of my book, the manuscript of which has been picked up already by a publisher, and I'm ready to publish in the coming months. I've learned to use the tools to write a script for my series, and--more importantly--I've actually written a first and second draft of the pilot of my series, and I've completed the outline for the entire first season. I'm also about 90% done in creating my author website.

I owe all of this progress to Jacy's guidance.

You might be wondering, "Couldn't you have accomplished this on your own? Like in a 'the power was in you all along' kinda way?"... probably. I certainly have the potential for it, but I can tell you two things: I would be burned out from spending efforts where they got no results and running around like a headless chicken, and I wouldn't have done this in less than three months.

That's what you get from Jacy Morris. He first learns what your plans and goals are, and he coaches you in ways that your efforts are focused and efficient. He has had experience both as a novel writer (I finished the first of his "This Rotten World" series, and it's amazing) and as a screenwriter, so he has the resources and knowledge to get you to those goals.

I can't thank Jacy enough for what he's done for me. He's been supportive and personable, and even when, as a new writer you might think your dreams and plans might sound silly or unachievable, Jacy takes them seriously, and moves you in the direction of making them a reality.
